    Provides a range of programs to help a child gain a sense of identity, assist in extending their social and emotional development and provide support to children with disabilities and their families. It also ensures that the child and family are more linked to and supported in the community. Extended Families is a not-for-profit organsiation that provides meaningful and lasting volunteer support to children/young people with a disability and their families who require flexible support, are keen to establish strong connections in community life and require practical assistance in their day-to-day lives. Also provide a range of programs to reduce isolation and provide carers with some respite. Extended Families seeks to widen social networks, empower individuals, promote inclusion and strengthen the bonds people have within their local area. The organisation breaks down barriers by changing social attitudes and creating opportunities.
